During this talk, I will describe the story behind ScanNav, an AI controlled medical device product which has gone through all steps from being a research study at the University of Oxford to becoming a medical device product running in the heart of ultrasound machines developed by GE Healthcare. In the talk, I will discuss my experiences and possible challenges which may face researchers especially in the AI field when taking their ideas from a piece of paper to a touchable solution that may help millions of people.
